London, March 15 (IANS) A British couple has been barred from having sex from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. after a complaint from a neighbour’s child. Alan and Fiona Hay responded saying their sex sessions only last five minutes as Alan suffers from asthma, The Sun reported Monday.
They said that the officials barred them from having sex between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. after a neighbour’s child complained to a teacher.

Alan, 50, said: “It’s total nonsense. My wife and I are both disabled and I can assure you that we are not swinging from the light-shades.”

“We are not screamers either - we cannot believe it. Sex normally only lasts around five or six minutes due to my condition so it’s not as it we are at it all night,” he was quoted as saying.

Fiona, 43, said: “I am absolutely furious. It’s terrible that a man and wife are being told when they can and can’t have sex. Watching television and having sex a couple of times a week are our luxuries. It’s really unfair.”

Alan looks after Fiona who suffers from debilitating myotonic dystrophy. The couple, who live in Penicuik, Midlothian, were given a warning letter by officials.

He said: “A housing officer said if we had sex and make noise between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. and if a complaint is made again we could end up in court.”
