London, November 26 (ANI): Social networking website MySpace has started a new section called MySpace Impact, which is purely dedicated to charities and social causes.

The websites members can now donate money directly from their profiles.

MySpace Impacts launch follows research for the website, in which 20 per cent of 16 to 24-year olds were found to devote their time and support to a charity or cause in the past year.

Jamie Kantrowitz, the websites senior vice president of content and marketing, said that the new facility would provide charities and people with a platform to join hands for benevolent causes.

“MySpace Impact is about helping people to take action and make a difference,” the Sun quoted him as saying.

The website now plans to begin a new section devoted to political issues and debates next year. (ANI)
