London, Dec 10(ANI): A recent survey conducted at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston has revealed that most doctors fail to report their colleagues incompetence.

The team led by Eric Campbell surveyed more than 3500 US doctors.

The findings revealed more than 90 per cent of the 1662 doctors agreed on improving access to healthcare, managing conflicts of interest and regulating the medical profession, reports NewScientist.com

However, on being asked about their behaviour they seem a bit hesitant

According the figures, 45 per cent of the doctors who had an incompetent colleague had failed to report their concerns within the previous three years.

And 24 per cent of doctors revealed that they referred patients to an imaging facility in which they had invested, without disclosing this financial conflict. (ANI)
