Manmohan Singh undergoes eye surgery

- New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Manmohan Singh underwent a surgery for cataract removal of his left eye, early this morning, at the Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi.
Singh, 75, underwent an intra-ocular lens implantation after a brief surgical procedure following which he returned home.
The doctors informed that he could resume his normal work from Monday.
Earlier, on May 25 he underwent surgery for cataract removal in his right eye at the same hospital and on September 16, 2007 he underwent prostrate surgery.
In October 2005, he underwent a successful surgery on his right hand to relieve pressure on a nerve in his wrist. (ANI)
