Nov 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The news that using laptops for prolonged hours and keeping it on the lap can make men infertile is nothing new. After using for a period of time the laptops get heated up and the heat when it is kept on lap can prove to be unsafe for the scrotum in male body say the researchers and doctors. The so called toasted skin syndrome which can happen to the laptop users who keep the laptops on their laps fr hours at a stretch can also have other serious side effects. The thing to worry is that even using a cooling pad for laptops does not help men even though it helps the laptop to run cooler.
The studies have shown that the temperature in the scrotum region gets increased fast even when someone uses a laptop cooler pad. Even though the findings of the studies do not explicitly claim that using a laptop can make a man infertile the possibility of the happening and link between the two is on the higher side. American Urological Association reports that every one out of is couples in the USA face problems in conceiving. The data also shows almost half of the cases are instances of male infertility.
For sperm production the scrotal temperature needs to be on lower side. If the temperature in the region gets higher than the safer limit it may lead to infertility. Contrary to general perception wearing tight underwear and denims do not affect sperm production or male fertility. Therefore, the laptop users could start using laptops on desk for their own benefit.
