Knut the polar bear was killed by a stroke
March 27th, 2011 - 2:34 pm ICT by ANILondon, Mar 27 (ANI): A post-mortem report has revealed that Knut, the world’s most famous polar bear, was killed by a stroke.
According to the report, the four-year-old bear died from a brain ailment that caused a cerebral stroke lasting 58 seconds, reports the Daily Express.
He collapsed in convulsions last week in front of 700 horrified visitors at Berlin Zoo.
Polar bears usually live to be 10 or 15. Animal experts say his untimely death is down to his unnatural life.
Knut was rejected by his mother at birth and he was controversially hand-reared at the zoo by Thomas Doerflein. (ANI)
