“Aged between five and 14, the children, who are undergoing treatment for cancer, visited the Metro Museum at Patel Chowk Metro Station under the aegis of an NGO CanKids and spent over two hours on the Delhi Metro,” said Anuj Dayal, spokesman of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
The children, from all over the country, were taken on a ride from Patel Chowk Metro station to Inderlok Metro station via Kashmere Gate Metro station.
“The visit to the museum helped the kids to know about one of the most modern Metro systems in the world,” Dayal added.
Delhi Metro runs around 2,000 train trips and ferries more than 16 lakh passengers every day.
