Isabella, Jayden most popular baby names in New York
August 30th, 2012 - 8:44 am ICT by IANSNew York, Aug 30 (IANS) Isabella and Jayden have become the most popular baby names in New York City for the third year in a row, Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced.
Among the 124,791 babies born in New York City in 2011, more than 600 were named Isabella and over 800 Jayden, Xinhua reported citing the Health Department’s birth certificate records.
The mayor said that thanks to the city’s innovative public health initiatives and quality improvement in the health care delivery system, babies born in New York have a life expectancy of 80.6 years, as against the US national average of 78.2 years.
