Health and medicine fields expected to have major advances in 2011

There are some prospects though. For a start, scientists are expected to announce a major breakthrough in their search for a vaccine for HIV. Studies into that field are far advanced and it is expected that scientists will finally come out with something positive.
Though it may be considered outside medical field, restaurants will play very vital role in the fight again obesity in 2011. With several people become aware of the risk of eating junk meals, restaurants that want to maintain their business will have no option but to reduce the amount of calories on their menu. This will greatly help to reduce the amount of calories that are consumed worldwide and invariably help to reduce the number of obese people throughout the world.
Doctors will find an ingenious way to keep failing hearts working again. Doctors will use freezing techniques to freeze failing tissues that may eventually cause the heart to fail. The device that will make this possible is expected to be made available this year.
