London, May 18 (IANS) Princess Diana wasn’t used to wearing a diamond tiara and it gave her a splitting headache on her wedding day, her brother has said.
Earl Spencer said she was “relaxed and happy” after her marriage to Prince Charles in 1981, The Sun reported Tuesday.
The 45-year-old earl visited St Paul’s Cathedral for the first time since the wedding for an interview with a US show.
He said that he still has a piece of Diana’s wedding cake and that before the marriage “she (Diana) was just my big sister”.
“She did become that day a sort of fairytale princess. It was almost like she was handed over to the world that day,” he was quoted as saying.
Diana died in 1997.
