alcohol New York, Jan 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A study has released its results and they say that the color of your alcohol can affect the hangover severity and intensity. According to a new study, lighter colored alcohol gives a lighter hangover the next day, as compared to the dark colored alcohol.

The researchers in the Brown University Center conducted a survey for Alcohol and Addiction Studies and the researchers in the University of Michigan Medical School. Teams of perfectly healthy, but compulsive drinkers were selected by the researchers to assist them in their study. The study was conducted for two weeks, over two evenings. In the experiment the volunteers were given different types of alcoholic drinks to drink.

After the study the results said that the people who had the lighter colored alcohol like vodka and white wine didn’t get that severe a hangover as compared to the other group who were given the dark colored drinks like whiskey.

Even though the hangover intensity was reduced, the other negative aspects of drinking remained the same. Because the study also found that even though the imbibers who consumed white wine or vodka said they felt better, they performed just as badly when they reported to work the next day, as did those suffering due to red wine and whiskey.
