Ahmedabad, May 6 (IANS) HCG Medi-Surge Multi Super Speciality Hospital and pharma major Cipla is starting a three-day medical camp on the occasion of World Asthma Day Tuesday. The theme this year is “You can control your Asthma”, said renowned chest physician Narendra Rawal Monday.
Addressing the media here, he said patients can avail tests such as CBC, AEC and x-ray at discounted rates with free primary consultation and PFT (pulmonary function test) at the camp.
Other noted chest physicians like Nitesh Shah, Gopal Rawal, Tushar Patel and Harjeet Dumra said with the available medications, asthma could be controlled and it was no longer a hindrance in leading a normal life.
According to Medi-Surge Hospitals director Jagdish Kothari, what was alarming today was that many children in India were affected by asthma due to rising pollution. “Awareness in schools through education is the need of the hour,” he said.
