Bat autographed by Sachin up for grabs

New Delhi, Oct 14 (IANS) A cricket bat autographed by ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is up for grabs on auction site eBay India.
The proceeds of the auction which starts at Rs.1,001 will go to NGO Make-A-Wish Foundation of India, which is dedicated to granting the most cherished wish of children who live with life-threatening illnesses.
“Make-A-Wish Foundation of India fulfils the innermost wishes of children suffering from life threatening illness. The funds collected from these bat autographed by Sachin Tendulkar will enable us in fulfilling many more wishes,” Sadaf Hussain, national co-ordinator, Corporate Partnerships and Communications of the NGO, said in a statement.
Deepa Thomas, senior manager, Pop Culture, eBay India added: “eBay India is deeply committed to helping NGOs fundraise via the auction of celebrity memorabilia as well as the sale of products on eBay. We encourage Sachin fans to bid generously as all the proceeds will benefit a noble cause and brighten up lives of young children.”
The charity auction started Oct 11 and will be ending on Oct 21.
