Aurobindo Pharma gets US approval for HIV tablets
September 17th, 2008 - 10:18 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 17 (IANS) Drug maker Aurobindo Pharma Ltd Wednesday said it has received tentative approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) to manufacture and market Abacavir sulfate tablets, which are used in the treatment of HIV infection. Abacavir sulfate tablets are used with other antiretroviral drugs in the treatment of HIV infection, a company statement said.
Recently, the company received tentative approval from USFDA to market Efavirenz tablets, in the strength of 600 mg.
