Beijing, Nov 19 (IANS) An armless Chinese who plays the piano with his toes is set to enthrall foreign audiences on a world tour.

Liu Wei lost his arms when he was just 10 after being electrocuted, China Daily reported.

He shot to fame in China by playing the piano with his toes on the reality TV show “China’s Got Talent”.

The Chinese version of the show made its debut in May, with the semifinal ranking the top show nationally by ratings.

The footage of his performances on videosharing websites made him popular overnight.

Though Liu needs help in daily tasks like eating and drinking, he was determined to train his toes to play the instrument. He started practicing it five years ago, often for seven hours daily.

“I feel that I’m not different from other people. I’ve lost my two arms, but I can still do the things I like. I suppose this is what other people appreciated about me,” he said.

Liu’s world tour will included Paris, Vienna and Taipei. Its dates are not announced yet.
