New Delhi, March 12 (IANS) Doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here will now have a clause inserted in their retirement orders - secure a ‘no objection’ order before switching jobs. The rule will apply to doctors who seek voluntary retirement, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Panabaka Lakshmi told the Lok Sabha Wednesday.
“A clause is being inserted in the retirement orders that the concerned faculty member is required to take ‘no objection’ from the AIIMS in the event of his or her taking any commercial employment within two years from the date of his or her voluntary retirement,” she said.
The decision was taken after the AIIMS governing body, the highest administrative body, discussed Dec 20 the issue of debarring doctors who seek voluntary retirement from AIIMS.
