Jaipur, Sep 21(ANI): The sale of upmarket and luxury cars of international brands in Jaipur has seen a spurt, as the goldsmiths and real-estate dealers have helped develop the standard of living of residents here.
According to a recent report presented by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on the sale of Luxury cars, the average sales growth across the country is between 12 to 15 per cent per year, while the figure almost doubles in Jaipur.
The sale of luxury cars has increased multifold in Jaipur, as each month more than 350 to 400 luxury cars are added to the city.
Several potential customers believe that they want to purchase the luxury cars, as it is a matter of status symbol.
“We would like to go for the luxury car because of the status symbol that it brings along. Price has always been an important criterion, but we can definitely compromise a part of it for buying the luxury car,” said Rajendra Singh, luxury car buyer.
Following the rapid growth of the segment in Jaipur, most of the international automobile companies have launched their dealers in the city.
“Jaipur has visualised many changes with the times. At present one can see Brands like BMW, Mercedes Benz, Chevrolet, Volkswagen, Honda and Skoda on the streets of Jaipur. Demands for these luxury cars are increasing. Customers belonging to above Rs 10,00,000 level are quite aggressive at this time,” said Mukesh Parihar, dealer of Chevrolet motors. (ANI)
