Jan 14, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The zodiac signs that determined your personality traits, have now got slightly reshuffled. With the incorporation of yet another zodiac sign, Ophiuchus, some of the people are wondering what zodiac they actually belong to. If they now know that they fall under Ophiuchus, the next obvious questions is of course what are the generic traits of this sign, where does it emerge from and where is it located in the universe?
A reputed source has reported that this increase in the number of Zodiac is mainly a result of moon’s gravitational pull, that has made the earth “wobble around its axis”, to recreate the alignment of the stars. Ophiuchus is represented by constellation Serpens. It may be located between Aquila, Serpens and Hercules, in the northern side of the Milky Way. Ophiuchus means “serpent-bearer” which represents a man, holding a snake. When it was first discovered in the second century, it was known as Serpentarius, a Latin term for serpent-bearer. It is one of the 48 proposed constellations by Ptolemy. All those who are born between Nov. 29 and Dec. 17, will now come under this sign. Initially, they used to fall under Sagittarius, that will now shift to Dec. 17 to Jan. 20. Some sources say, that the increase of the number of Zodiac signs from 12 to unlucky 13, with the addition of Ophiuchus, may signify the approach of 2012 doomsday. On the other hand, other sources are under the impression that this new signs would change their usual zodiac forever, and prompt them to abide by new procedure of predictions.
Ophiuchus is, however, not new to human civilization. It was first discovered by the Babylonians but they rejected it as they wanted only 12 zodiac signs. Ophiuchus symbolizes, enlightenment, medicine, higher education and healing.
