Maoists blow up panchayat building in Jharkhand
November 15th, 2009 - 5:36 pm ICT by ANIDumbuli (Jharkhand), Nov 15 (ANI): Activists of the banned Maoist organisation have blown up an under-construction panchayat building at Dumbuli village in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand early on Sunday morning.
According to Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Kumar Jha around 30 ultras equipped with fire-arms blew up the building in the wee hours.
The police rushed to the spot and a massive combing operation was launched to track down the red ultra in the region, he added.
Earlier on Friday, Maoist activists had set on fire a crusher plant in Manoharpur and torched three earthmovers at Sonua. (ANI)
