Kolkata, Jan.9 (ANI): Former West Bengal Chief Minister and senior Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Jyoti Basu’s health condition remained the same on Saturday evening as it was in the morning, said doctors at the AMRI hospital.
“He remains on partial ventilator,” Times Now quoted Dr. Agarwal of AMRI as saying.
Jyoti Basu, 96, has contracted a bacterial infection.
Basu, who was admitted to the hospital on January one with breathing problems, was on partial ventilation and the medical board was constantly monitoring his condition.
Basu had been put on full ventilation last night as a precautionary measure. (ANI)
