May 29th, 2010 - 8:07 pm ICT by ANISrinagar, May 29 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir’s Betaab Valley, named after a Bollywood movie, has become a favourite tourist destination.
Enroute to the Amarnath shrine, this newly developed tourist resort near Pahalgam, is located at an altitude of 2,530 metres above the sea level.
Tourists coming here from the hot plains are all excited to see the surroundings of the picturesque valley.
“This is very beautiful region; people should come here not once but frequently. This is our good fortune that we have visited this place for the first time,” said Narayan Chand, a Mumbai tourist.
The place that is surrounded by lofty mountain ranges, gushing streams and rivulets, green fields and meadows has become an instant hit among tourists.”The climate of the Betaab Valley and the greenery here is very beautiful. It is very lavishing, I feel that one can spend hours over here and rest,” said Bharat Shah, a tourist from Mumbai.
He added that he relived the memories of the Bollywood movie ‘Betaab’, which was shot at this spot. (ANI)
