Surjit developed the new dance form. The dance show also served as a platform to encourage aspiring dancers.

“Amidst conflict in Manipur, I initiated the artists and dancers of the state so that through this we can provide relief and peace of mind and divert their attention to these form of entertainment,” said N.K. Surjit (Bonbon), Art Director, Manipur.
“It will create a new awareness among the people of Manipur especially among the youth that dance is a mirror of our feeling through our body movements. Instead of violence we can create a masterpiece through dancing. Dance is a universal language, which everybody understands. It cuts across the barriers of caste, creed, race and gender. It is a very beautiful and a powerful medium,” said Esther Shimray, an artiste.
