Cricket training for Chinese women in Punjab

Mohali, Nov 2 (ANI): Even as officials in India and China are taking their time to prevent provocative statements from being issued from either countries, an all-women cricket team from China is undergoing training here.
Members of the visiting Chinese team were very enthusiastic to watch the fourth one-day cricket match being played between India and Australia here on Monday, as the felt they could pick up pick up some tips and observe the way top-two teams take on each other in an international match here.
The 15-member Chinese women cricket team, is presently undergoing training in the city on the invitation of President of Punjab Cricket Association Inderjit Singh Bindra.
“I came to India … to watch international matches specially Australia and India it is a great experience,” Myu Chaung Mang, a member of the Chinese women cricket team.
“We have come on the personal invitation of Mr Bindra to have some good training facilities for Chinese cricket. As everybody is aware that cricket is being developed in China and infrastructure is yet to come up but since we will be playing in this year’s Asian Games, our main preparation is for the Asian Games, so we have come here to have some good practice,” said Mamta Menon, coordinator, Chinese women cricket team
Asian Games will be held in southern Chinese city of Guangzhou from November 12 to 27 next year. (ANI)
