CPIM helping BJP by dividing secular votes: PMMay 1st, 2009 - 10:54 pm ICT by ANI
Kolkata, May 1 (ANI): Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh on Friday accused the Communist Party of India (Marxist) of indirectly helping the Bharatiya Janata Party by dividing secular votes with opposition to Congress party.
“In one way, the CPM and its allies even today are helping the BJP. By opposing the UPA and Congress, they are dividing the secular votes, which can help the BJP,” Dr. Singh said during an election rally in Kolkata.
Declining any possibility of the ‘Third Front’ forming the Government at the Centre, Dr. Singh said: “I don’t believe that there is any chance of the ‘Third Front’ forming the government at the centre. The parties in the Third Front don’t have a common minimum programme.” (ANI)
