Applebees, Subway, others Honor Veterans Day

Nov 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) On November 11, and throughout Monday, November 15, many restaurants and other businesses will be honoring Veterans Day by offering free meals, and discounts to all military service members, former and present t thanks these Veterans for their sacrifice for the freedom of the American people.

‘Applebee’s’ is offering a few meal choices for free to US Vets, including the 7 oz House Sirloin Steak, Chicken Tenders, Bacon Cheeseburger, Double Crunch shrimp, Three-Cheese Chicken Penne, Fiesta Lime Chicken, and the Oriental Chicken Salad.

‘Chili’s’ also has a choice of six different meals from which Veterans can pick their free meal. ‘Hooter’s’, on the other hand, give Vets their choice of meal for free, as long as they purchase a beverage. ‘TGI Fridays’ is giving a free meal to veterans when they purchase another meal at full price.‘Subway’ is giving away free six-inch subs to all vets, and for desert? Stop by for a free ‘Krispy Kreme’ donut.

Golden Corral will be celebrating their 9th annual Golden Corral Military Appreciation dinner will be held on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 5 pm to 9 pm in all Golden Corral Restaurants nationwide. Anyone who has ever served in the military of the United States of America is invited to come in and have a free meal.

There are also discounts available at such places as ‘Lowe’s’ and ‘Home Depot’ as well as free parking in some areas, free days at some National Parks, and free admission to other locations. A list of some of these offers is available here.
