Aaryan Babbar pays obeisance at Golden temple, promotes ‘Virsa’ in Amritsar

Amritsar, May 6 (ANI): Bollywood actor Aaryan Babbar on Thursday paid obeisance at the holy Golden Temple, as he arrived here for the promotion of his Punjabi film “Virsa”(culture).
While talking about his film, Babbar, who is son of veteran actor-turned-Member of Parliament, Raj Babbar, said that he hoped the India-Pakistan ties would improve in future, as both the countries share same culture and have had traditional ties.
Pakistani actress Mehreen, who plays Babbar’s heroine in the movie, said cordial relations between two nations would also help flourish Pak film industry.
Singers from Pakistan and India have sung from for the film. They include Jawad Ahmad, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Fawad Ahmad and
Farah from Pakistan and Richa Sharma and Krishna from India.
Virsa is about expatriate Punjabi community and the crisis of identity and morality. The film tries to blend in with the new community around it even as it tries to preserve its cultural values and traditions from their home in Punjab.
Virsa’s cast includes Sardar Joginder Singh Grewal, Ranvir Singh Grewal, Harjinder Kaur, Yuvraj Singh Grewal, Meet, Gulshan Grover, Kanwaljeet Singh, Ruby, Aarya Babbar, Aparna Sharma, Nawaz Ali, Nauman Ijaz, Sazia Ali, Aaman Ali Shazia, Aman Dhaliwal, Mahi Sandhu and Mehreen Raheel.
The Punjabi movie is being released in several countries including India, Pakistan, Australia, and Canada on Friday (May 7).
