New Yorkers Gear Up For Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2010

sperefNew York, Nov 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) This is again that time of the year when Americans forget about the trials and tribulations of their lives and indulge in the festive spirit of Thanksgiving. For New Yorkers, the day holds a special significance as all the city dwellers wait eagerly for the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to celebrate the festive occasion. The gala event is scheduled to kick off at 9 in the morning on Thursday as the residents gear savor the festive spirit to the fullest.

Like every year, even this time around Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is expected to witness a huge turnout as for many people across the country, Thanksgiving is synonymous with the grand event held in New York City. Even for those who would not be able to make it to the annual event, there is hardly any reason to feel disappointed as they can catch the live action on their television in the cozy comfort of their house along with their near and dear ones. Event organizers have announced that this year’s event is likely to have two huge helium balloon attractions that would feature characters such as Kung Fu Panda as well as other popular figures from Diary of A Wimpy kid.

Apart from the spectacular floats that are featured in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, around seven absolutely new floats would be featured in this year’s event. At the same time, the parade would features some of the most talented marching bands of the country along stellar performances from some of the biggest names in the entertainment world.
