Youths’ role vital in tackling climate change: UN chief
January 19th, 2011 - 10:30 pm ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Jan 19 (IANS/WAM) Involving the youth is vital to tackle the global challenge of climate change, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has said.”Engaging with the youth of today is a vital part of tackling the climate change challenges,” the UN chief said Wednesday at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) in the United Arab Emirates.
The three-day summit is being held as part of the Young Future Energy Leaders (YFEL) campaign launched by Abu Dhabi’s Masdar Institute to create awareness among students and young professionals about renewable energy sources and sustainability of the environment.
