Wet morning in capital, rains likely

New Delhi, April 17 (IANS) A slight drizzle and cool breeze gave way to a pleasant Sunday morning for Delhiites. The Met office has predicted rain and thundershowers later in the day.

“The sky will be generally cloudy with the possibility of rain and thundershowers accompanied with squalls in some areas,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

“In the morning, 1.5 cm of rain was recorded,” he added.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 21 degrees Celsius, while the maximum was expected to hover around 33 degree Celsius.

The maximum temperature Saturday was 36.4 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year, while the minimum was 21.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below average.
