Weather warms up in Punjab, Haryana
February 12th, 2012 - 6:04 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Feb 12 (IANS) The cold conditions have abated from Punjab and Haryana due to remarkable increase in the temperatures, the Met department here said.
Amritsar, Punjab recorded 5.5 degrees Celsius Sunday morning, one degree below normal, it was four degrees below normal for the season Saturday. Chandigarh, was sunny with 7.0 degrees, one degree below normal.
Narnaul, Haryana recorded a 4.3 degree Celsius. The temperature here rose after two days of 1.5 degrees. Karnal received minor fog cover Sunday morning.
Also, the night temperatures have risen in both the states.
According to the Met department, some places in both states might receive light rainfall, which will decrease in the next two days.
