Warm, pleasant day in Delhi (Lead)

New Delhi, Jan 29 (IANS) Delhi was greeted by a slightly misty morning, but it was a relatively warm Saturday as the maximum temperature was recorded at 23.3 degrees Celsius, a degree above the season’s average.The day began on a pleasant note for Delhiites with the misty morning and mild sunshine.

“The maximum temperature was recorded at 23.3 degrees Celsius and the minimum settled at three notches below average at 5.5 degrees,” an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official, said.

The humidity levels hovered between a high of 94 percent and a low of 36 percent, the official added.

According to the IMD, Sunday will again witness mist in the morning but the day would be clear with bright sunshine. The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 22 and 7 degrees, respectively.

“The mornings will be misty but the day would be clear…. the weather will be similar over the next couple of days,” the IMD official said.
