New Delhi, Feb 11 (IANS) A misty but sunny morning gave way to a warm day for Delhiites Friday. The evening was, however, chilly. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature recorded early Friday was a notch below average, at 9.1 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature was two degrees above average at 24.8 degrees Celsius.

Radhika Menon, a student said: “It’s a very confusing weather… during the day it’s warm enough to roam around in a full sleeved t-shirt, but the evenings turn chilly so you have to wear something warm.”

Sarika Das, a home maker, added: “This change of season is actually a vulnerable time because you are susceptible to falling ill easily. Most kids in my child’s school have cold and cough so I have to be careful with my kid too.”

The weatherman forecast light fog for Saturday morning.

An IMD official said: “According to our forecast, there will be a shallow fog tomorrow (Saturday) morning. The skies will turn partly cloudy thereafter. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to touch 10 and 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.”
