Uttar Pradesh set to shiver
December 22nd, 2009 - 5:12 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Lucknow, Dec 22 (IANS) Chilly winds will lash most parts of Uttar Pradesh in the next 48 hours, bringing down the temperature by several notches, officials said Tuesday.
The fall in temperature will follow changing wind patterns because of snowfall in the hilly regions, the Meteorological department said.
Uttar Pradesh Met director J.P. Gupta told IANS: “The state appears to be moving towards normal winter owing to cyclonic circulations, western disturbance and high pressure belt.”
The minimum temperatures Monday in the four major cities of Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur and Allahabad were 6, 8.2, 6 and 10 degrees Celsius respectively.
