UN Climate Summit Starts In Copenhagen

cop-15Copenhagen, Dec. 08, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Global warming and climate change have become major threats for the planet earth and us, the earth dwellers. Climate researchers all over the world are trying to find some solution to prevent this climate change and check the increasing threats. The UN Climate Summit that has started in Copenhagen, Denmark this week is expected to find some constructive solution that will help in checking greenhouse gas effects and carbon emission.

According to the reports, delegates from one hundred and ninety two nations have been invited to attend the Copenhagen conference. As it is an important conference and the outcome of the conference will be important to the whole world, state heads from one hundred and ten nations have been invited to take part in the conference. Names of Wen Jiabao [the Chinese Premier], Barack Obama [the US President] and Manmohan Singh [Prime Minister, India] appears in the list of state heads who are invited to attend Climate Summit’s final leg. It is expected that the presence of eminent political leaders from different parts of the world would help in controlling the increasing effects of global warming in the present days.

To highlight the importance of the event, Copenhagen has received a completely new look. Several governmental as well as non-governmental organizations have come forward to put up environment friendly messages all over Copenhagen and raise people’s awareness about environment pollution. The Climate Summit of the United Nations that started this week, will have a significant effect on arriving at a solution and it is expected that climate scientists and other eminent personalities attending this summit would come out with some positive result.
