Philippines, Oct 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to reports, Philippines is preparing for the Typhoon Parma, which is scheduled to strike with all its wrath and vigor, the day after tomorrow that is on October 3.

If this really happens it would be like rubbing salt over wounds, as the nation and its people are already battered from the huge disaster that was caused recently by another typhoon named Ketsana. With bated breath and quite prayers people are waiting for this Saturday to pass off which is reportedly the day when typhoon Parma is scheduled to hit the country, based on expert reports.

With each passing moment Parma, a “super storm” earlier, has picked up pace and has been now labeled a “typhoon”. Reportedly it has picked up speed of around 150 miles per hour.

Various organizations are predicting that there would be heavy rainfall as and when Parma strikes and ensuing disaster would crop up for various buildings, residential or otherwise. Major rainfall is also predicted which might cause flood like situations in the area.

Meanwhile the people of Philippines and specifically Manila are yet to recover fully from the humongous destruction to life and property that was caused by typhoon Ketsana. Disaster recovery operations are still going on with local residents also chipping in along side organizations like the United Nations in their efforts to bring back things to normalcy. Hundreds of people have already died due to typhoon Ketsana and large number of property have been destructed. Only time would tell though what effect the impending typhoon Parma has on this island nation.
