Two roads cave in, traffic disrupted in Delhi
August 27th, 2010 - 8:45 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 27 (IANS) After a heavy downpour Friday, it was the roads causing a traffic nightmare to Delhiites as two roads caved in, one on Aurobindo Marg in South Delhi and another on Tolstoy Marg near Connaught Place.
According to the police, a portion of the road caved in on Aurobindo Marg near Green Park market Friday morning while another stretch caved in on the Tolstoy Marg near Vandana building in the evening.
“Due to this, vehicular movement was restricted from IIT towards AIIMS. People were advised to take Africa Avenue or August Kranti Marg to reach Ring Road,” a traffic helpline official said.
