The duo were arrested on a tip off from a forested village along National Highway 43 in Kanker district late Sunday, district police chief Praveer Das told IANS on the telephone Monday.
The tribals are believed to be members of an organised gang of inter-state poachers that has been active in the forested district for years, he added.
On July 22, the police in Dhamtari district had arrested two youths at a bus depot and seized leopard and deer skins that were allegedly brought from the Udanti tiger project area in Raipur district.
