Tremors felt in Himachal Pradesh
March 21st, 2011 - 6:58 pm ICT by IANSShimla, March 21 (IANS) Tremors were felt in several parts of Himachal Pradesh Monday after an earthquake hit the Hindukush region, an official said.
However, there was no report of any loss of life or damage to property in the hill state.
“Mild tremors were felt in several parts of Shimla, Kangra and Chamba districts at 3.20 p.m.,” R.S. Negi posted at the Central Recording Station of Seismology Network at Naddi near Dharamsala told IANS over phone.
The quake’s epicentre was in the Hindukush region at latitude 36.5 degrees north and longitude 17.9 degrees east.
