New Delhi, May 19 (IANS) A thunderstorm and light drizzle, caused by a low pressure area over the capital, Tuesday brought Delhiites some respite from the scorching weather.
“A thunderstorm/dust storm occurred in the evening due to the low pressure area created over the capital. The sky will remain partly cloudy, bringing down the temperature,” an official at the Safdarjung Meteorological Office told IANS.
The storm brought down the temperature by 1.7 degree Celsius. The minimum temperature recorded Tuesday was 28.5 degrees Celsius - two degrees above normal - and the maximum was 43.2 degrees Celsius - also two degrees above normal.
The humidity level remained constant at 56 percent.
