Crime Branch officials arrested them from a village in Kanker district, about 220 km south of state capital Raipur.
“Acting on a tip off, we arrested three youths - Budsai, Manrakhan and Ramdev - when they were waiting for customers to hand over the leopard skins,” Kanker crime branch in-charge D.S. Gehlot told IANS.
He said initial investigation revealed that the leopards were killed by poisonous arrows from a reserved forested site.
He said 17 members of an inter-state poaching gang had been arrested in the past three months.
