Temperature rises in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla, Jan 21 (IANS) Minimum temperatures across Himachal Pradesh rose by a few notches Friday as the state witnessed a sunny day, the weather bureau here said.The minimum temperature in Shimla was 2.9 degrees Celsius, marginally up from Thursday’s 2.7 degrees, met office Director Manmohan Singh told IANS.
However, the maximum temperature in Shimla was pleasant at 13 degrees Celsius against Thursday’s 9.8 degrees.
Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district, and Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of minus 10.4 degrees Celsius and minus 2.2 degrees, respectively.
These towns Thursday recorded minimums of minus 16.6 degrees Celsius and minus 4.4 degrees, respectively.
Sundernagar recorded a low of 3.1 degrees Celsius, while it was 4 degrees at Bhuntar.
The night temperature at Dharamsala stood at 2.3 degrees Celsius.
The met department forecast mainly dry weather for Saturday.
