Sunny day in Delhi, mercury to dip (Lead)
December 23rd, 2010 - 8:38 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 23 (IANS) A misty morning was followed by a clear, pleasant day in the capital Thursday, a day after it recorded the coldest Dec 22 in five years. The mercury is expected to dip in the coming days, the weather office said.The maximum temperature was recorded at 23.5 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year and the minimum settled at 6.4 degrees, two notches below average.
“The humidity level wavered between a maximum of 92 percent and a minimum of 35 percent,” an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
The weather is expected to remain the same Friday, with a slight dip in temperature.
“There will be shallow fog in the morning but the day would be clear and warm. The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 23 and 6 degrees,” the official added.
