Sulabh to teach sanitation to Clinton Global Initiative
September 22nd, 2008 - 5:57 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 22 (IANS) Indian NGO Sulabh International will teach former US president Bill Clinton’s organisation how to carry out sanitation missions effectively in African and Asian countries.Sulabh International Social Service Organisation (SISSO) founder president Bindeshwar Pathak through a presentation in New York Tuesday will give a roadmap to the Clinton Global Initiative’s (CGI) sanitation mission.
“Impressed by Sulabh’s works in sanitation, the CGI has invited Pathak to share expertise to carry out social sanitation mission in the countries of Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean islands,” a SISSO spokesperson said here Monday.
According to him, Pathak will make the presentation at the CGI’s annual meeting in New York Sep 23-26.
“Sulabh will extend all possible help to the Clinton Global Initiative 2008 for achieving the goal global health by improving health and hygiene of communities through sustainable sanitation options,” he said.
“Sulabh will provide consultancy to the poor countries to help them adapt Sulabh technologies for on-site sanitation,” said the spokesperson, who did not wish to be identified.
