Strong earthquake shakes northern Chile
November 13th, 2009 - 2:30 pm ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )IQUIQUE, CHILE (BNO NEWS) — A strong earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.5 struck off the coast of northern Chile on Friday morning, seismologists said. There were no immediate reports of major damage.
Moderate shaking was reported in the city of Iquique, about 60 miles from the earthquake epicenter.
No tsunami warning has been issued.
