Snowfall in Himachal

Shimla, Nov 18 (IANS) Many places in Himachal Pradesh experienced light rainfall or snowfall early Thursday, the meteorological office here said.
Keylong, the district headquarter of Lahaul and Spiti, was the coldest place in the state with a low of 0.4 degrees Celsius.
Higher reaches in Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur and Kullu districts experienced snow early Thursday, meteorological office Director Manmohan Singh told IANS.
He said Kalpa in Kinnaur district saw a low of 2 degrees, while it was 8 degrees in Shimla, 9.5 degrees in Bhuntar in Kullu district and 10.3 degrees at Dharamsala in Kangra district.
Most of the prominent tourist towns like Shimla, Kasauli, Kufri, Narkanda, Chamba, Dalhousie, Palampur, Dharamsala and Manali experienced rain.
The Met department said western disturbances would remain active in the state till Friday, bringing more rain and snow.
