Snow and slick conditions in Oregon cause vehicles to lose traction
December 30th, 2009 - 1:07 pm ICT by BNO News ( Leave a comment )WILLAMETTE VALLEY, OREGON (BNO NEWS) – Snow and slick conditions had caused vehicles to lose traction on OR 22 (Willamina -Salem Highway) west of Salem and on OR 99W (Pacific Highway West) north of Newberg, local authorities said on Tuesday.
Joanna Ridgway, Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) Community Affairs Representative, advises drivers to delay traveling through the area or to use alternate routes. If travel is necessary, chains or traction tires should be used.
