A small earthquake has hit New Jersey in the USA.
The quake hit northern New Jersey on Monday night. The earthquake measured magnitude-3 quake. It began shaking New Jersey at 10:34 p.m. (0334 GMT). According to experts and authorities who followed up, the New Jersey quake occurred two miles southeast of Victory.
The earthquake rattled the often-quiet area forcing residents to worry. The New Jersey earthquake came days after another earthquake hit Seattle. The New Jersey quake is reportedly to have been a low magnitude quake. The Monday night quake struck the area as a surprise. According to local authorities, there were no injuries reported during the incident.
The New Jersey quake did not cause damages. There was no cause for alarm, local official say. ‘It was a small earthquake and residents are not used to quakes here. Residents of Morris town say they were shocked since they n=did not know what was happening in the first place. In fact, the New Jersey quake jolted many as they were going to sleep. Most people were headed for bed when it struck. However, there were no reported injuries or damages to the often-reclusive area. People however are still worried after the news of the New Jersey earthquake became official. They fear a quake of bigger magnitude might occur.
