Showers bring respite from heat in Delhi

New Delhi, July 13 (IANS) Delhiites woke up to pleasant weather Monday with early morning showers and a cool breeze bringing relief from the scorching heat.
The national capital recorded 1.6 mm of rainfall overnight. However, the brief spell of showers increased the humidity level to 85 percent.

The minimum temperature recorded Monday was 28.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above average.

“The skies will remain cloudy with the possibility of one or two spells of rain and thunderstorms during the day,” an official at the Safdarjung Met department told IANS.

The maximum temperature Sunday was 39 degrees Celsius, three degrees above average.
