School students to grade MPs on climate change
December 6th, 2009 - 6:32 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Dec 6 (IANS) As the world focuses on the climate change summit in Copenhagen, a group of students here will go door-to-door to the houses of MPs, grading them on their knowledge and spreading awareness on reduction of carbon emissions.
The two-day programme, which will begin Tuesday, will be flagged off from MP Supriya Sule’s residence.
Around 100 students from six Delhi schools like Modern school, Springdales and Sanskriti will participate in the programme, organised by the Centre for Legislative Research and Advocacy (CLRA).
The programme aims to assess the knowledge of MPs on one of the most talked about topic - carbon emissions and climate change - and an attempt will be made to spread awareness on reduction of carbon footprint.
