Rains likely in capital

New Delhi, June 18 (IANS) A day after Delhi witnessed squalls and rains, the met office Saturday again predicted light rains towards the evening.

The minimum temperature recorded Saturday morning was 25.6 degrees Celsius, two notches below the average. Humidity stood at 73 percent.

“It would be partly cloudy towards the afternoon. There is possibility of rain and thundershowers in some parts of the capital,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The maximum and minimum temperature are likely to hover around 36 and 27 degrees Celsius.

Delhi recorded 12.8 mm of rainfall Friday.
